Public Relations Manager

We’re hiring a strategic, results-driven, and dynamic PR Manager to work closely with the communications department lead. The ideal candidate must have proven public relations success, preferably with in-house and agency experience. This role will involve managing communications strategies, media relations, event management, and brand positioning for an International Financial Center (IFC) and Industrial Park, an anchor development for the company’s investment in the project.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of the IFC and Industrial Park
  • Manage media relations, including cultivating strong relationships with key financial and industry-specific media outlets
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-profile events, such as press conferences, industry forums, and networking events, that align with the organization’s PR objectives and enhance brand presence
  • Create and distribute compelling press releases, speeches, and other communication materials that align with brand messaging
  • Oversee crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and effective management of any potential reputational risks
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including public policy, advisory, institutional investment, and executive leadership (the CEO’s Office), to align PR and event activities with business objectives
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing actionable insights to refine PR strategies and reporting on PR campaign effectiveness
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, and adapt PR strategies and event plans accordingly
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, International Business / Business Strategy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of PR experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in both in-house and agency settings
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive messages
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin (written and spoken), with the ability to write clear and compelling materials. Mandarin is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing PR and events for financial institutions, International Financial Centers, and/or industrial parks is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, industrial parks, and regulatory environments, particularly within the APAC region
  • Proven track record in crisis communication, issues management, and successful event management.
  • Strong computer Knowledge/Skills (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates a proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential challenges, and develop practical, innovative solutions
  • Maintains keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, from strategic planning to execution
  • Ability to adapt to business needs with occasional extended hours, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays, as required to meet project deadlines or business goals
